My Experience with Best Buy: A Tragedy in Three Parts (Part Two)

Part Two: Is Everyone a Manager in Charge when you are MESSING UP?

So I walk over to IHOP to await this magical call  Something tells me to call my mother to ask her to check her email…

“I didn’t give them my email address…. What is going on? I want to talk to a manager. Go back into the store.”

*deeper sigh*

I ask Samantha and new best buy employee Ananya if I could speak to a manager.

First response – “What do you want a manager to tell you?” (met with my confused face)

Second response – “All the managers are in a meeting.” (met with my really confused face)

Third response – “I am the manager on duty” (met with my I must look stupid face)

Now Anyaya the “manger on duty” shows me the screen of my order… “Everything is here we are just waiting for it not to say pending.”

I sheepishly ask “Is there anything that can be done to expedite this? Maybe something is wrong…”

“Nope” Anaya replies.

Now unbeknownst to me… my mother is calling both the Ocala store and the Miami store to find out what is going on… and guess what…

I WAS WAITING FOR AN IMAGINARY LAPTOP TO POP INTO THE SYSTEM BECAUSE THE SKU THAT WAS ENTERED WAS NOT A REAL ONE!

(You would think that the description – Dummy SKU would have tipped them off.)

Time Check: (2 hours since I first walked in the door. 4 hours since the purchase was made…. And yes ALL the managers are still in this meeting…)

To like is superhuman, to comment is divine.
