(Part 3 of 3)
Ok, now I must admit my “turn out” story does lean itself to the stereotype… I guess.
I was “in love” once… I swear it seems silly now, but at one time there wasn’t one thing I wouldn’t do for J-boi. See she was older, she was street, she was….broke. It wasn’t until I was too deep and too invested to quit her that I realized that I wasn’t in love with the J-boi of 2006, I was in love with the J-boi of 1996 when she was still hot.
See J-boi was dope girl from the Boogie Down Bronx. She used to run keys up and down the east coast. She could be seen riding down the block in either her Black on Black S500 or the Expedition dropped to the ground. Money wasn’t a thing….
You did notice that everything I said was in the past tense… um hmm.
I met her on her come down and she was intent on taking me with her. Only I would find a wo/man with caviar taste and an EBT card budget.
But she did something for me, she satisfied my bad girl urge. I don’t know whether I wanted to fuck her or be her… so I did a little of both. Hell if she could sell a eight ball then I wanted to buy two and cut it to make it three. She wanted to go to Trapeze and swing on the rafters. I had no problem putting my pussy in another woman’s face as she looked on with pride. When we were in the club, it might have been her New York Swag that got them out of the door, but please believe it was my Southern charm that got them in the car. She thought she was cool, I knew I was cooler. It would have been wonderful if I would have kept my eye on the bottom line. I used to believe that bullshit about “the best things in life are free”… Until I was handed an eviction notice and she had run “our” cell phone bill up so high that I thought I would be relegated to pre-paid phone accounts for the rest of my adult life. But I have to respect the game; she pulled a square and made a living. It happens. I actually should send her a Hallmark card because her bullshit paved the way for my success.
But I can’t think about that right now… I have something to do. To do…I do…. I do…love her.
Sigh
