That was the start to the invitation for the 2nd annual Giveback Kickback And BBQ, coordinated by birthday girl, journal entrepreneur and great friend Kristi King. This style maven and socially conscious individual started her annual tradition in 2015 where she invites friends to “kickback” with a birthday cook out, while encouraging attendees to bring a specific number of items for donation to the needy. The number corresponds to her age (which I’m not sharing because it’s rude to share a woman’s age without her permission) :).

“No presents requested but we will be making…care packages for the area homeless.”
