It’s a Take A Village To Live the SRL

Good morning Lovebugs,

I am up bright and early this morning overcome with a sense of gratitude. No this is not a gushy post about my partner, this one is a shout out to all the women in my sister circle that are helping make me better every single day.

For a second, I was going to list them by name but as you read the blog over time, you will get to know many of them so that didn’t seem to be the answer.

I will instead just give you a snippet of my morning and how two of them made an impact in my life from the moment I woke up.

I woke up this morning and washed my face.

In that simple action, I was filled with gratitude for one of my amazing sisters April King [1] of Glamour Impulse. Why? Because last night for about an hour she went over step by step how to implement the BOX FULL of skincare products that she sent me this week [2]. She knows how much I am working to improve my self care and my skin, so she figured out what would be best for me to try and then went over every item as I took notes on how to incorporate them into my regimen. After that we caught up on more of life and did some goal tracking. She is proud of me and I am proud of her. I am so grateful for that.

After I washed my face, I took a look at the clock with anticipation.

This morning I have a group Facebook mediation session with Jasmine O’ Day of Jasmine O’Day. I could go on and on and on about how amazing a woman my sister+friend is. She constantly either directly or indirectly shapes my mindset on things from personal wellness to finance to love. Having such a strong spiritual warrior on my side has made me a stronger person. Even though I am not at warrior status yet, I see glimpses of the warrior in me. Having women in the universe like Jasmine is key to the uplifting of women in general. I am blessed to have her in my life.

Yep, and all of that was before 8:30am.

Do you all have sisters in your life like this? If so let them know how important they are to you. In a world where we are conditioned to brag about our wealth and our relationships, be loud and proud about the friendships that see you through.

[1] Fun fact: She isn’t one of Sinclair’s Kids. She actually married a man in NY with the last name King. Ain’t that cool?

[2] She runs the Madison Avenue – The Ordinary store in NYC. Check her out. She will get you together!
