#SupportBlackLezBiz – K Word Creations

So I have totally been slacking on blogging recently and I hope this post partially explains why. A few weeks back I started making homemade, hand stitched journals as a hobby and well… it has blown up. It has been an amazing experience so far. I went from just spotlighting black lesbian owned businesses with #SupportBlackLezBiz to becoming one.

I am not really good about tooting my own horn or “selling things” but since some of my awesome blog readers have found out about my journals, I decided to share.

I make my hand stitched blank journals using coptic stitching. Without going into the history, the perk of bindng it this way allows the book to open completely flat at any page. So they are perfect for sketching / painting as well as writing. As for the covers, I pull the pieces from lots of different sources, so let’s get creative. 1424136580941 Continue reading #SupportBlackLezBiz – K Word Creations

Here are a few of the titles we are looking forward to checking out: Continue reading #SupportBlackLezBiz – @SistahSinema’s @IndieFlix Collaboration

#SupportBlackLezBiz – AudaciouS

In light of my renewed FUBU attitude, every Monday we have decided to spotlight new black lesbian owned businesses in the new segment called #SupportBlackLezBiz.

I don’t know why we haven’t done this before… I have thought about it but never put it together. It seems so natural. We love supporting our community. We love online shopping. And we am sure at least a few of you guys do too. Now everything might not be for everyone, but we do want to showcase our sapphic sisters doing their things.  So let’s do it.
