While vacationing in Puerto Plata, and with the help of Perry Ellis International, we were able to donate over 50 sporting goods balls (basketballs, baseballs and footballs) to the Hogar Immanuel.
Hogar Immanuel is a home for 21 abandoned children with severe physical and mental disabilities- 11 Boys and 10 girls). They also run an education program at Batey La Union Sosua, for the children who live by the dump Batey La Union in Sosua who have special learning needs.
It was an experience of a lifetime. The smiles on the faces of the children was the highlight of my trip, and that of the other ladies as well I am sure.
